Spring is in full swing and we’re really enjoying the fresh energy over at Citrine. We have some exciting announcements coming up this month in honor of Earth Day, so we all have something fun to look forward to! This month I am really embracing the energy of transformation and renewal... I’m excited to continue my annual spring clean, not only physically but energetically as well, allowing me to create more space for expansion and newness. Not only in my personal life, in my self care practices, my spirituality, but here at Citrine as well. I’m also excited to give my beauty routine a little refresh and am really loving my favorites this month! Let’s get right into it...
First up, this is a product that I truly love, but I don’t find myself reaching for it till the weather starts warming up and I am reminded how much I LOVE this product. It really helps with texture and gives your complexion the ultimate results when it comes to brightening and removing hyperpigmentation. If your skin is feeling lackluster at all, this is going to give you that pick me up while evening out your skin tone. I also love that it works to prep the skin & really help with the absorption of your other products.
You truly can’t find a more fresh & flirty scent that embodies the energy of a divine feminine, fertile spring energy. This is not your grandmother’s stiff floral perfume. It’s definitely on the lighter side and feels very youthful, as if you’ve just stepped out of the most elegant garden. It contains jasmine, which is one of my all time favorite fragrances, but it’s still very fresh, light and almost crisp. There’s also ylang ylang, which is known to naturally lift your mood, relieve anxiety and elevate your energy. It’s subtly sweet, yet very sensual. I highly recommend this for the spring months!
Spring is here, so it’s time to get our glow on and this new arrival from Jane is the most gorgeous bronzing powder. I am always a huge fan of Jane’s powder products and this is no exception. It’s a natural matte finish, which I feel is the best bet when it comes to bronzing, as it helps to create definition and contour, without added shine or shimmer. I wore this for a fairly long photoshoot and noticed that the staying power is really nice, making it a good, long-wear, day-to-night or night out bronzer. The formulation is super smooth and blendable so it’s very versatile, whether you want to create a sharper contour, or just an overall warmth to the skin. This is a great multitasking powder and you can use it as eyeshadow as well! I use shade Light, which is the lightest, but there is also Medium & Dark to choose from.
If you know me, you know I am ALL about full body hydration and am such a fan of body oils - PERIOD. I tend to run on the dry side, so I live for lathering a luxurious body oil on post shower. I find Tata’s Revitalizing Body Oil to be the most moisturizing and calming on the skin. It’s formulated with Tata’s iconic & nourishing estate complex blend and contains calendula, which is super soothing to the skin. I find that this time of the year, when things are blooming, there can be a lot of different irritants floating around in the air so this has been my go-to choice to get that really soft, supple finish. One of my favorite tips is to apply your body oils right after you get out of the shower or bath, while your skin is still wet, for maximum absorption and water retention in the skin. As a total hydration queen, I go in after with the Tata Body Balm or Agent Nateur body (balm).
This new arrival has been my favorite lip product of the moment! I’m so pleased with the new, creamy and nourishing formulation. It doesn’t bleed, it doesn’t tug or pull on the lips at all, and glides on so smoothly and wears all day. As you guys know, I have my signature nude lip look, so my favorite color is Sunset Nude. If anyone has been following along for a while, you will know that my old favorite RMS liner was the shade Nighttime Nude and Sunset Nude is an exact match for that color. I have been lining my lips with this and then topping it with the Kypris Lip Elixir, the most decadent jasmine lip balm, for that extra dose of hydration and sheen.
