Q: CAN YOU WALK US THROUGH YOUR CURRENT MORNING ROUTINE?
A: It’s simple, healthy, consistent and timeless. I always start my day with a morning meditation and green juice -- or something raw and healthy like chia seeds and fruit. Healthy eating and drinking habits are the most effective beauty routines...period. I like to say, “your skin is a mirror to your gut.” A healthy gut is vital for feeling good and it really results in beautiful, healthy glowing skin. That's why I never forget probiotics -- a daily must for my morning routine!
I always apply a few drops of Beauty Oil to damp skin after a quick shower, morning and night. It’s a blend of such wonderful hydrating oils and herbs, in just the right combination for skin to fully utilize their benefits. I follow with my UnCoverup Concealer in shade 22 to perfect the skin where it needs, fill in my brows, curl my lashes, add mascara and a pop on my signature RMS Red lip and head out with Ruby Moon to tackle whatever the day brings -- new and innovative launches have been on the forefront these days, with more to come!
Q: WHAT DOES YOUR SKINCARE REGIMEN LOOK RIGHT NOW?
A: I don’t go a day without my RMS Beauty Raw Coconut Cream. I use it at night to cleanse my skin and remove all traces of my makeup. I add a little to my bath water, too –it’s the easiest way to moisturize my skin, plus it just feels so, so good. (You can even take it internally, or use it as a toothpaste in a pinch.) Then I always apply my RMS Beauty Oil as a serum at night—it’s the most beautiful, skin-friendly combination of precious oils and adaptogenic herbs. And that’s it! I mean, I love a good spa treatment as much as anyone else, but on a day-to-day basis, this is my skincare routine, and always has been. Super simple.
Q: WHAT ARE THE TOP THREE BEAUTY PRODUCTS YOU WOULD TAKE WITH YOU ON A DESERT ISLAND?
A: RMS Beauty Oil, Back2Brow Powder & Wild With Desire Lipstick in my signature RMS Red.
Q: NOW THAT LIFE HAS SHIFTED MORE INTO THE VIRTUAL SPACE, HOW HAS YOUR EVERYDAY MAKEUP LOOK CHANGED - AND CAN YOU GIVE US A QUICK RUN-DOWN?
A: It hasn’t changed one bit in the sense of my personal makeup look itself, but it has changed in the products that add that extra skincare element to my skin. After all, I am not getting any younger! Besides the RMS Beauty Oil as a serum at night and in the morning, my newest addition is the new ReEvolve Radiance Locking Primer and Natural Finish Foundation. Both products are formulated with this really cool, innovative ingredient Tightenyl -- a natural retinol alternative that helps firm, tone and smooth the skin. The primer has a slight pearlescent radiance to it that makes the skin look so beautiful -- I only need to follow with a minimal amount of foundation to perfect the skin and cover any imperfections.
Here’s a really great tip: When you apply your foundation, don’t think of creating a layer. Really blend it in like you would a moisturizer. That is how perfecting the skin should be done. For days when I have an event or TV appearance (like QVC), I will add slightly stronger foundation coverage over the primer. My go-to staple is always my Living Luminizer, a cult-favorite of RMS loyalists too. I use it to highlight the elevated areas of my face. It gives the ultimate, natural, light-reflective dewiness to the skin for that guaranteed glow of health and look of seductiveness. Nothing beats this product. I then fill in my brows with Back2Brow Powder and finish with my signature red lip (Wild With Desire Lipstick in RMS Red). That bright pop of color adds that contrast, giving a more youthful appearance to the face.
Q: IF YOU HAD TO RECOMMEND THREE PRODUCTS FROM YOUR LINE TO ANY NEWCOMERS TO YOUR BRAND, WHAT WOULD THEY BE & WHY?

Q: WHAT WAS YOUR INTENTION BEHIND CREATING A CLEAN BEAUTY BRAND? HOW HAS GOING DOWN THIS AVENUE CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
A: When I created RMS Beauty, I wasn’t focused on being the most successful brand out there. I just wanted to create a brand that was healthy, and had integrity. After all those years working with fashion and makeup, I’ve learned a lot about the impact of daily exposure to chemicals in beauty care products. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t live up to its promises. I see the results of taking a quick-fix approach to looking good. And believe me, I know first-hand the price our health can pay in the pursuit of beauty. I realized the need for skin care and color cosmetics that are as pure as possible, and that create a solid foundation for anti-aging and long-term beauty. At the time, I had no real choice but to create a brand myself, applying the highest standard for clean beauty. Now the whole world is embracing the movement and I am so happy that my brand is one of the pioneers.
Q: WHAT IS THE BEST BEAUTY ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED?
A: The skin is very seductive so stop covering it up with so much foundation. Less is more.
Q: TELL US WHAT INSPIRES YOU THE MOST ABOUT YOUR BRAND. WHAT CAN YOU LEAVE WITH OUR AUDIENCE ABOUT STAYING INSPIRED, LIVING YOUR PURPOSE & YOUR WORK IN THE WORLD?
A: Creating a clean and innovative beauty brand was something that I had always dreamt about, and watching it become recognized, accepted and successful has been the greatest reward of my life. Go after your dreams and always listen to your intuition as they are your guiding light.
