Q: CAN YOU WALK US THROUGH YOUR CURRENT MORNING ROUTINE?
A: Part of my morning routine is getting my body moving and I love to walk the dogs outside before the kids are awake. Even light exercise helps me relax and reduce stress and just makes me feel balanced and level headed. For me, it’s really the most effective stress reducer.
Q: WHAT DOES YOUR SKINCARE REGIMEN LOOK RIGHT NOW?
A: When it comes to my daily essentials, I’m a maximalist. I believe that more is more when it comes to my skincare and I use a multitude of our products everyday, twice a day. My skincare routine always addresses my skin for today and my skin for tomorrow. I like to switch up my cleansers, masks, and moisturizers for whatever mood my skin is in that moment. When it comes to serums and eye creams, the most important anti-aging steps, I like to stay consistent so I can really see the cumulative results.
Q: WHAT ARE THE TOP THREE BEAUTY PRODUCTS YOU WOULD TAKE WITH YOU ON A DESERT ISLAND?
A: Regenerating Cleanser is the first product I use every morning – it’s a gentle exfoliator and I like to use it every day to get rid of the dead skin cells that accumulate overnight. Resurfacing Mask is my go-to after a long flight, before an event, or whenever my skin needs a pick-me-up. It’s a BHA and fruit enzyme mask that gets rid of buildup and basically gives you instantly fresh, glowy skin. Crème Riche is another must-have for me, it’s our richest moisturizer that feels like a velvety cream. I use it every night as the last step of my routine. It’s packed with antioxidants and hydrators to intensely moisturize the skin and support the skin barrier.
Q: WHAT WAS YOUR INTENTION BEHIND CREATING A CLEAN BEAUTY BRAND? HOW HAS GOING DOWN THIS AVENUE CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
A: The catalyst to starting a green beauty line was when my stepfather was diagnosed with cancer and I became aware of the toxins and chemicals that were in all of the products we were using. I couldn’t find any natural products without synthetic chemicals that gave me the results and the luxury experience I was looking for. Looking behind the curtains of the products, I was disappointed to learn that many products used the same formulas, but the brands just added fillers to put their name on it. This inspired me to create my own line that was safe, natural, and sustainable without compromising luxury and results.
Q: WHAT IS THE MOST RECENT WELLNESS PRACTICE THAT YOU'VE GOTTEN INTO AND HOW DO YOU IMPLEMENT IT INTO YOUR DAILY ROUTINE?
A: Recently in the mornings I have been meditating for about 15 minutes before I fully plug-in to checking my emails and my to-do's for the day. I’ve found that practicing breathing exercises has really helped me feel more centered and focused throughout the day. Q: WHAT IS THE BEST BEAUTY ADVICE YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED?
A: When you’re young it’s important to start building a good regimen, and focus on keeping your skin healthy and hydrated to prevent visible signs of aging for as long as possible. It matters what you are putting in and on your body at any age and it’s important to be mindful of this starting young.
